alignAI Project Opens Recruitment Phase for Doctoral Candidates

Exciting news! The alignAI project, an international research initiative focused on creating large language models (LLMs) ethically aligned with human values, is now recruiting doctoral candidates. We offer 17 funded positions across top universities, ideal for candidates in both technical and social sciences who want to make AI safer, fairer, and more aligned with societal needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world applications. Candidates will engage in research addressing fields such as education, mental health, and media, developing critical skills to advance safe, transparent, and fair AI systems. By joining alignAI, candidates can access interdisciplinary training and collaborative work with industry experts.

alignAI’s recruitment phase will take place on the EURAXESS portal, where interested candidates can explore available positions and application requirements across the following institutions:

  • Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany
  • Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e), The Netherlands
  • Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark
  • Region Hovedstaden (RegionH), Denmark
  • Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), Israel
  • École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Swizerland
  • IDIAP Research Institute, Switzerland 

The network also includes industry partners such as DPG Media, EHS Médias, Datacation, and Fujitsu Germany, who will provide secondment opportunities to enhance practical knowledge and real-world experience.
